Utah :: Desert Sky and Dirt Bag Dreams

Over the last couple years I've been fortunate to reconnect with some old friends and make some pretty darn cool new ones as I've jumped/fallen/scrambled into the world of rock climbing. Along the way I've also picked up on the strange and varied vernacular of the climbing culture. "Crux", "splitter", "epicing", "bomber", "bootie", "gobi" "redpoint" and a myriad of other seemingly crude and nonsensical terms have entered my vocabulary, creeping insidiously into a deeper part of my psyche and awakening in me what can probably best be termed "dirt bag" dreams.

Newport Folk Festival

Geting to work with my friends at SOPA productions (Ryan, Adam and Colleeen) on the 2011 Newport Folk Festival was one of the best musical experiences of my life.

Nestled between the looming stone walls of the old fort and the cooling waters of the Newport Harbor, the festival lives and breathes its music and heritage in a way that is really unique. Alpine-a-palooza :: Glacier Gorge

Good times hunkering down with old and new friends for a week of climbing, bivying, back country bacon cook offs, alpine scrable, boulder garden exploration, lightning storms and photo shoots galore.

Check out more awesome photos from Garrett Grove.

You can't cage the elephant

One of my favorite bands of all time to photograph.

In such, they merit their very own post from Coachella.

Put on "Ain't no rest for the wicked", kick back and enjoy
